Project Humanity focuses on Education Status of Women Trade & Finance and is headquartered in Gilmer, TX, United States.

Project Humanity identifies women empowerment projects that can be completed in a relatively short period of time, and then we recruit skilled volunteers to work on them. Through our work in Kenya, Botswana, and Zambia we are enabling access to micro financing for small business development, advancing education and literacy, and working to improve women's and children's health.

  • 1 / 4: There are many different ways to volunteer to make a difference. Project Humanity volunteers have included students, nurses, missionaries, first responders, educators, pilots, flight attendants, executives, and yes, even our moms! Project Humanity makes several trips a year to Africa. These trips generally last 7-10 or 10-18 days and provide opportunities for volunteers to become fully immersed in the local community. So regardless of your background or skills, age, gender, race, sexual orientation, or religious affiliation, we have a job for you! You can learn more at www.projecthumanity.com
  • 2 / 4: For the past year we have been working closely with the Nyamuga Special Needs School in Kenya to improve living and learning conditions. As its name suggest, Nyamuga is a school and home for 80 children who are impacted with various developmental disabilities. In 2014, PH volunteers raised over $2000 to purchase desks and chairs specifically designed to meet the needs of the children at Nyamuga. The desks and chairs were manufactured near Rusinga which also contributed to supporting the local community.
  • 3 / 4: We're excited about promoting education! Over the past year we spent a great deal of time meeting with local leaders and talking to youth about their needs. One of the facts we learned is that 98% of girls and 96% of boys don't graduate from high school due to lack of funds for uniforms, books, and other needs. As a result, we have initiated the Rusinga Literacy Campaign with a goal of providing access to books and learning for both adult and young learners.
  • 4 / 4: Come volunteer or donate to make an impact in Africa.
